Lyon, au revoir

We had a very enjoyable three days in this city by the Rhone. Every café and restaurant had outdoor tables in the shade. It was hot.

Loads to see and great transport. Lugdunum, the site of a Roman amphitheatre was close to the cathedral overlooking the city. A funicular service saved tired legs.

Bouchons are the Lyonnais version of bistros and offal a speciality of regional cuisine. Quenelle pronounced k’nelle is popular.
