Rugby vs Soccer

I confess to being a part-time Chelsea supporter. But watching 90 minutes of passing the ball with very few shots on goal does not excite me.

Rugby can be a bit predictable with passes along the line ending in scrums or line-outs. But the physicality and quick ball handling make for an exciting sporting contest. Rugby players would be embarrassed to feign injury the way soccer players do. They would sooner feign lack of injury so they can stay on the pitch..

Thankfully, rugby has rules to protect players from head injury and enforce head injury assessments.

Obviously, I am biased, but with good reason. Very few rugby matches end 0-0.
