Belfast has two bars that serve excellent real ales, Bulhouse East and Northern Lights. Bulhouse East brews its ales in Belfast and Northern Lights in Galway.
I like an IPA and Bulhouse has a good selection of IPAs. The Suds is a refreshing citrus flavour. At Northern Lights I would recommend the Althea IPA. The prices are the same as other bars’ beers, but if you like quality ale the contrast is stark.
Pizzas are available at Bulhouse East from 4pm and Northern Lights has a varied menu.
