Feet

As British soldiers yomped across the Falkland Islands one problem became apparent as their boots sank into the boggy ground. Their boots were not waterproof, so long marches in boggy ground were going to take a toll on the soldiers’ feet.

Now, I am no yomping British soldier, but as a diabetic it is important for me to look after my feet to stop the skin drying out. Any cuts are taking much longer to heal and there is a danger of infection.

I have a right foot that is prone to dry skin, more than the left one. I enjoyed the pampering of a podiatrist some time ago, a thoughtful gift from my brother and sister-in-law. It might be time for another bit of foot therapy.
