Take one miscreant aged about 23. Ask him to agree to perform some simple task. If he is a true miscreant, he will readily agree to carry out the task. Come back after a reasonable length of time. Has the miscreant performed the task? Then he is not a true miscreant.
I have been conducting this important research in a domestic setting. The tasks I have devised have included: going to bed before 1am, not smoking in the house, closing the fridge door, cleaning up spillages and eating regular meals.
So far the results have been fairly predictable. The miscreant is a true miscreant, in fact, his miscreant status can be verified not only by the non-performance of simple tasks, but also by his absence when called upon to be in attendance at set times.
The experiment continues.
