With one expert prick and application of the blood spot, I was rewarded with my first normal blood sugar reading of 5.5 since I got my gizmo. I have never been so excited to be normal, and I am somewhat puzzled.
I didn’t think I had been particularly abstemious. Last night’s beers and wine were accompanied by potato cakes, homemade coleslaw (with Hellman’s Light Mayonnaise) and half a broccoli quiche.
This bodes well for the 8 weeks of strict blood sugar dieting that I will start after St Patrick’s day.
