I have enjoyed many tootles on the ebike around Belfast over the last year or so. I was more adventurous yesterday and took the bike on the train to Holyhead to follow a coastal path to Bangor.
It started well, the raised esplanade wide enough for cyclists and walkers. But after a couple of miles the path became a dirt track and narrowed with thistles and brambles either side. There were steep bits and a new bridge spanning a small bay, but the bumpy ride was worth it for the spectacular views of Belfast Lough.

It gave me a chance to experiment with my new camera. I arrived in Bangor and made my way to the Jamaica Inn to quaff Guinness and stare at the sea.
I made the Belfast train by the skin of my teeth and dozed contentedly.
