This year is a new beginning for me. I resigned from my job at Christmas and have time to concentrate on things that bring me pleasure. A slow look at the world is now possible without all the rushing about to earn a crust.
Our garden is looking better than it ever did, I can’t take credit for all the weeding and planting. My better half did all that. I do a bit of mowing, hedge trimming and strimming. I also lobbed off branches on our tree to thin it out and give it a better shape. The birdfeeder hangs off one of its lower branches.
On these fine mornings I rise early and take my coffee outside. The birds keep me entertained as well as a new toy bought for my birthday…
I’m off for my daily tootle. Irgend wohin as the German say.
