Sound bars

Our Sharp television has fairly basic speakers. Consequently, the bass is fine if a bit overpowering. Conversations are sometimes very hard to make out.

I bought a Majority Bowfell Bluetooth soundbar for £35 and plugged it into the TV’s headphone socket. The sound quality is much better for dialogue. As a result we have reduced the volume level from 60 to 30.

Just out of interest I went to Richer Sounds to see what they would recommend. Their lowest priced soundbar is about double the width and sells for £99 without a subwoofer.

£129 gets you a Samsung HWT400 soundbar with built in subwoofer weighing 2 kilos. It would be good if you could listen to them in store, but maybe you can..I was in a hurry.
