I live a slothful existence, staying up late to maximise my tv viewing. The trips on the e-bike are now mostly shopping trips and the lockdown walks a thing of the past.
Needless to say, the diet is poor. Too many carbs, fatty meats and sweets. The alcohol consumption is above recommended levels.
Knowing all the above, you might think I have taken steps to improve my prospects. The 8-week blood sugar diet is a book on our shelves and still remains the plan to be adopted…soon.
My mental health is pretty good despite the slothfulness. Books keep me sane and stimulated. Hollie McNish performed her poetry at a local arts festival recently. I missed the gig, but after watching a couple of her readings online I bought her book.
In October I start a distance learning course in Philosophy and Psychology. It’s a few years since I studied full-time with the Open University, but if I stick at it they structure the course content in a way that makes studying straight forward.
