Sleep deprivation is useful if you happen to be a torturer or masochist. I dream of languishing for eight hours or more in restful sleep. Or I would if dreaming was a memorable state for me.
I like fresh air in the bedroom even if it’s freezing outside. Blackout curtains help prolong my slumber and I am not keen on the noise from tvs or audio devices.
Lack of sleep makes me tetchy and listless. We all need a minimum of 5 hours sleep at night. Not getting enough sleep can have serious health consequences.
