Using my senior citizen travelcard I got a free train journey to Newry. I had intended to cycle along the canal towpath to Portadown, but the legs are creaking a bit and it’s a 32 mile cycle. Instead, after a couple of pints I found a place to eat. Synge and Burne do very tasty salads at reasonable prices. A coffee and cookie on the train back to Belfast and my outing was complete.
