The Rugby World Cup has got off to a great start with the host nation putting the All Blacks to the sword and England kicking their way to victory over the Pumas.
Red cards will be issued to try and protect players from head injuries. England’s Tom Curry collided head to head with Juan Cruz Mallia when he had caught the ball mid-air and landed in front of the English player.
Will Jordan got his timing wrong when challenging for a high ball and received a yellow card that was reviewed to see if it merited a red. France took advantage of his ten minutes sin binning and played brilliantly.
Referees are doing a good job letting the games flow, speeding up the set pieces and keeping discipline where necessary.
