Tonight I will be hoping to stand in front of a bunch of strangers and read a couple of my poems. This is a monthly open mic event for poets to perform their work at the Crescent Arts Centre.
The last time I put my name in the hat for a chance to perform was years ago. Entry was free and you could bring your own booze. Today it’s five pounds entry but you still get to bring your own booze.
I have picked three odes that are on this site. I might even try to record my performance and put it online.
