Well, I read three of my poems to a group of about 35 similarly inspired poets. There was applause and someone stopped me on my way out and said they liked my Ode to a Lettuce.
There was a great selection of poetry from the 21 readers who had their names drawn from a hat. Colin was the MC and did the job with high energy and good humour. He was assisted by his wife and fellow poet, Geraldine..
The next open mic evening is on St David’s day. I’ll try to find an RS Thomas poem to read.
