Every Tuesday my older son and I visit a bar on the other side of town called Bulhouse East. They brew their own ales and have several guest ales, also on draught. My current favourite is Road Trippin, a refreshing pale ale that goes down very easily.
They have stouts and ciders that are worth a try. I like Tempted, a cider made in the orchard county, Armagh.
If I am drinking at home there is a very good off-licence on the Lisburn Road, the Crafty Vintner, that has a wide range of ales, ciders, wines and spirits. Their staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I tried this sour cider yesterday…
Bulhouse East staff are passionate about brewing and quality ales and encourage you to sample their hand pulled ales. There are over 15 to choose from. Their choice of music is good and if you’re feeling peckish there’s a pizzeria in the back yard.
