When taking on a task, there may be some planning required, some research, and some motivation needed.

That’s how it was with my end of module assignment (EMA). Motivation was the driving force, I have to pass this year to continue on to the final year.

Having done the planning,  time slipped away from me, and I had to rush to complete the essay. I fell into the trap of reading my notes and trying to rephrase them rather than write what I had learnt in my own words.

That proved much easier, as did writing it freehand and making changes as I typed it up on the computer.

Job done. The pressure released.
