Is it just me or does anyone else think it’s daft to scrimp and save to pay off debts caused by the banking crisis of 2008?
If it cost a bundle to prop up banks who had made stupid lending decisions, why should we continue to slash the budgets of welfare, education, the arts and so on?
To refloat the economy and stimulate growth, who in their right mind would spend less and put people out of work?
