Cycling really took off this last year and people are spending hefty sums of money on bikes. My own bike is a Boardman hybrid ebike and is the most expensive bike I’ve ever bought. Locks are essential and U locks are the hardest to cut through.
Unfortunately, a U lock might not be enough to deter the would-be-thief. I had left my old bike out in the rain for so long that the lock had seized up. I borrowed a heavy duty hacksaw and set to work outside the Student Union building. No one challenged me as I sawed away for a good 15 minutes.
