I have just had my second physio session for my damaged left calf muscle. There has been a huge improvement in my muscle strength, having done the recommended reps of standing on tiptoe with my left foot and bending my right knee.

Shari did an initial assessment of my progress and was pleased, as was I. She then worked on the calf muscles in both legs and finished by showing me how to do two additional exercises to strengthen my left calf. Pushing down with my knee into a pillow placed below the knee without using my abdominal muscles was oddly difficult and required concentration. The second one was squeezing a balloon between my knees – much easier.
Hopefully, Shari will give me the thumbs up next week if my exercises have paid off.
