I have read the course material and printed out several notable journal articles by eminent thinkers, so why do I find essay writing so problematic? I have probably made my life harder by not submitting the first two assignments, which means I need a good mark for this one to progress onto the second and final year.

I am about halfway through the first draft with three days until the deadline. Am I hooked on the adrenaline rush of not knowing whether I will get it finished? Possibly, but I have always been useless at time management.  Having calculated that I had about 175 hours of dedicated study hours available, organised into 4 hours blocks, you might think I had it sussed. Work avoidance is a fine art that requires serious prevarication and self-delusion. Skills that I have in abundance.
